The Golden State Warriors suffered a major roadblock in their pursuit of a third straight championship when Kevin Durant went down with a non-contact leg injury in the third quarter of last night’s game.

Thankfully for Durant the injury wasn’t as serious as initially believed but he will have to sit out for at least a week which means he will not be returning in this series.

Breaking: Kevin Durant has suffered a mild calf strain on his right calf and is out for the rest of the series vs Houston, sources tell @wojespn. He will be re-evaluated next week. pic.twitter.com/pZ8QcotnFj

Warriors will have to find a way to beat Houston in Western Conference semifinals, but Kevin Durant could be back for the Western Finals. https://t.co/NpwRRAPXkh

While the Warriors were able to rally back without Durant fans on Twitter are wondering if the Rockets will be able to capitalize now that KD will officially be out the next two games.
If the Rockets can’t win the series now with both Cousins and Durant out, they should be the NBA laughing stalk. This is the greatest gift that Houston could receive to finally get past the Warriors, who would clearly have beat them again if just one of these guys were healthy.

Kevin Durant out for the series so this is the perfect time for the Rockets to miss 38 threes in Game 6.

If Houston don’t win this series they don’t deserve to EVER talk again

“There is no excuse for the Houston Rockets not to win this series.”

“If the Houston Rockets can’t win that game, get them out of my sight, just write them off, let’s just stop it right here. I don’t want to see them get embarrassed at home once again by a team without Kevin Durant.” — @RealSkipBayless pic.twitter.com/fWBWu5bSc2

The NBA playoffs just got really interesting with KD’s injury.
