The Lakers are officially open for business.
According The Athletic’s Bill Oram team executive Magic Johnson is looking to either to add a three point shooter to shore up the current roster or trade for a superstar before the February 7th trade deadling..
The Lakers will pursue two types of trades at the Feb. 7 deadline: A blockbuster that lands a second superstar, or a deal that shores up the current roster. @billoram lists the candidates for the latter.https://t.co/RZ3HVIRuBn

• The trade that shores up the current roster and increases the Lakers’ chances of saving face and making the playoffs.
• A blockbuster that lands the Lakers a second superstar that makes them a true threat in the Western Conference this season and beyond.
Oram goes on to write that the Lakers would be willing to give up a combination of Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma for Anthony Davis or another superstar player to pair up with LeBron James.
The second is obviously the priority, even if it means parting with some combination of Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma. Ideally, the Lakers would be able to land a second star in free agency and keep the core intact..
Unfortunately for the Lakers it seems like Anthony Davis isn’t going anywhere this season.
Anthony Davis doesn’t intend to request a trade, will wait until the off-season to make a ‘full evaluation’ of his future with the Pelicans, per @ShamsCharania https://t.co/Fi9MDxxg5t pic.twitter.com/pwTdnRjZy3

It seems like the Lakers are intent on going all-in for Anthony Davis but they’re going have to wait until the offseason before that becomes a possibility.
