I wish I could have an immense supply of new clothes and never have to wash any of them. But that’s not the case! It’s like a fear that we ought to face every week like a superhero.
But you don’t have to overthink laundry at all. In this article, I will share my personal laundry hacks that are proven to save your time & energy. You can try these when you do the laundry and refine according to your needs. Let’s go!

Table of Contents
1. How To Dry Clothes Faster?
The next bigger part of laundry after washing clothes is to dry them. And you can do it faster with a simple hack. Before you put any of your clothes in the dryer, always add some towels before. Towels absorb all the moisturizer inside the dryer, which helps to speed up the drying process.

2. Separate Clothes Inside The Dryer
You should always put a dryer sheet with the clothes so that they don’t cling together. An inefficient dryer always causes clothes to cling together, and hot air doesn’t reach those areas. For that, dryer sheets are the best, but ensure not to put overly large items like blankets, duvet covers with them.
If you don’t have one, just take a clean, dry cloth and spritz it with vinegar. Toss them around with the load, and the smell will be gone.
3. Quick Wrinkle Remover
For items like shirts, pants, tops, shorts that have wrinkles all over them, dampen a sock or washcloth and toss them around with the clothes in the dryer. This removes all the wrinkles within 5-10 minutes of drying. Or you can also use Born Good Fabric wrinkle remover for these clothes without doing much.

4. Ditch Quick Laundry Hacks
You might have seen hacks like putting Vinegar to eliminate odor, using Lemons for brightening, and Baking soda for removing stains all over the internet. While these hacks may be helpful but really weaken the quality of your clothes over time. Even medical scientists have confirmed that what your clothes really need is just your regular detergent. Be it Tide, Surf Excel, or any other detergent, this is enough to keep your clothes in good condition.
5. Do Laundry Twice A Week
The primary reason of your stress on laundry day is maybe due to seeing this huge pile of clothes every end of the week. I suggest that for typical large families, laundry should be done twice a week. While this may sound more hectic than before, it will give you a peaceful and more than a day free to yourself.
Doing laundry only once may sound enough, but doing it twice can actually save you from unnecessary stress and hard labour.
6. Get Rid Of Your Clothes Every Month
This may sounds funny and impractical, but it has a huge logic behind it. See, there are always clothes that are worn out. Garments that you no longer need but never decide to throw away. So, go through a monthly damaged-clothes-session and remove each item from your closet that you can’t wear anymore.
This not only saves time washing these every time you do the laundry, but also keeps a free space in your wardrobe.
7. Clean Your Washing Machine Monthly
One of the online hacks that I love is the easiest way of cleaning my machine & thoroughly. The catch is to sprinkle some baking soda in the drum , adding a cup of vinegar to the detergent tray, and let it run on an empty load.
That’s it! The machine looks newer, and there are no ill effects left.

8. Keep Socks Together
You know every time that you do the laundry, some of the socks always disappears and ruins the pair. To avoid this, you can use a mesh bag and keep every sock, from little to big, inside it so that they are all in one place. Plus, they are easy to pair once they are dry and you fold them.

9. Wash In Cold Water
This is one of the best advice I’ve been given. Even in winter, I wash my clothes in cold water instead of lukewarm and there are reasons for it. Cold water prevents clothes from shrinking and fading colors. Heating is very energy-intensive, so using cold water uses less energy actually lowers consumption and energy bills.
