Talk about having an adventurous palette! Angelina Jolie doesn’t mind eating bugs, and neither do her children.
While visiting Cambodia to film her latest project, First They Killed My Father, Jolie and her kids feasted on local cuisine, including spiders.
Jolie shared her food adventure during an interview with BBC’s Yalda Hakim via People.
“See the hard part where you have the teeth?” Jolie asks her twins, Know and Vivienne who are next to her as they look at the spider.
Before actually eating the spider, Jolie admits that this isn’t her first time trying a an insect.
“I first had them when I was first in country,” the actress told BBC. “Crickets — you start with crickets. Crickets and a beer, and then you kind of move up to tarantulas.”
Yes, she did say tarantulas. Next, Jolie splits a spider with her daughter Shiloh, who doesn’t even think twice before biting into it.

When asked what the bugs taste like, her son described them as “dry chips. Flavorless chips.”
Okay, we are all for family bonding, but eating bugs might be a little too extreme for us.
What do you think about Jolie and her fearless approach to enjoying the Cambodian cuisine? Would you ever eat a spider? What about another bug?
