The Big Bang Theory is heading into its 11th season, and while our favorite characters are growing up, there are some things on set that never seem to change.
On Thursday (Aug. 10), Kevin Sussman, aka everyone’s favorite comic book store owner, Stuart Bloom, revealed that there is one thing that has yet to change about the show — well, technically about his trailer — and he’s not okay with it.
While his co-stars Mayim Bialik, Kunal Nayyar and Kaley Cuoco have been reading their bright pink, episode-one scripts (and posting about it), Sussman has been living in the ‘90s thanks to his old-school trailer amenities.
“I’m used to it,” Sussman captioned a hilarious video of himself from inside his trailer this week.
The actor went on to point out just how old school his TV is.
“Well, it’s season 11 now and the TV/VCR/DVD combo in my dressing room apparently still thinks it’s early ‘90s,” Sussman says in his video, before turning to the retro TV and addressing it directly. “I mean… hello…anybody in there? It’s 2017 calling, anybody home?”
Before signing off he added, “typical,” and it really is SO typical… at least if we’re talking about his TBBT character. Stuart always seems to get left behind, or forgotten about, so having the actor who plays the forgotten man (who we love, by the way) stuck with an ancient TV makes perfect sense. And as much as we hope Sussman finally gets the upgrade he’s been waiting for before The Big Bang Theory goes off the air for good, in this case, we have to admit that his loss, is definitely our laugh.
The Big Bang Theory returns for season 11 on September 25, 2017 on CBS.
