Six-Time Felon is Killed in a Shootout by a 13-Year-Old Boy During a Home Invasion

A 13-year-old boy in South Carolina shot a burglary suspect to death and scared off the other using his mom’s gun.

The unnamed teen was alone Tuesday afternoon at home when two men tried to break in.

He grabbed his mom’s gun, then waited at the back door. He then fired multiple shots through the door, and someone on the outside shot back at him.

The suspect was hit three times and died of his wounds. His getaway driver had rushed him to a hospital to no avail.

The suspect has been identified as 31-year-old Lamar Brown, 31. His priors include six felony drug charges, and a single charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon.

31-year-old Ira Bennett, his alleged partner in crime, was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

He was denied bond on the burglary charge, but was handed a $50,000 bond on the weapons charge.
