Pennsylvania Woman Murdered Her Husband in an Argument Over a Burnt Casserole

A Pennsylvania woman has been arrested and charged after she killed her husband this past Monday night. It transpired after an argument over a burnt casserole.

38-year-old Teresa Drum claimed her husband, identified as 42-year-old Dennis Drum Sr., shot himself when she called 911, but she didn’t even call for that help until after she’d sent a picture of her husband’s body to a friend, then showered to “rinse off” after the unspeakable act.

According to Frazer Police Chief Terry Kuhns, the couple’s two kids were in the house at the time but weren’t hurt. The ages of the children wasn’t released. They’re now with relatives.

Cops had responded to one other domestic disturbance at the couple’s home roughly a year ago, but no violence occurred and no charges were filed.

Arriving officers found Mr. Drum in a bedroom Monday night in the fetal position on his left side. He had a gun in his right hand, a holster on the floor behind him, and he had a gunshot wound to his forehead.

Mrs. Drum showed paramedics the photo she’d taken with her cellphone at 10:20 p.m., claiming she’d taken the picture because she didn’t know what to do. The friend she’d sent it to told her to call 911.

That photo, according to cops, was part of her undoing. The picture, taken just over 10 minutes before the 911 call, showed no gun in her deceased husband’s hand…or anywhere in the photo, for that matter.

She’d told cops that he’d shot himself and that the two of them had been arguing because she’d consumed his last beer and burned a casserole earlier that night. She says the victim pointed the gun at her and that it went off when she tried to push it away.

When being questioned further later, she told investigators that she’d had seven beers and had a buzz, but wasn’t drunk.

She claims the argument then moved to the bedroom. She went on to say that the victim was sitting on the edge of their bed and that she’d been standing over him when he pulled the gun from its holster.

She claims she put her finger on the trigger, along with his finger, and that the gun then went off.

She then took the shower and put her bloody clothes in a laundry basket.

She couldn’t tell cops how the gun ended up in her husband’s hand on the floor.

She’s been charged with criminal homicide and is being held in the Allegheny County Jail without bail.

She’s scheduled for a preliminary hearing on March 8th.
