Michigan Teacher is Sentenced to Prison for a Sexual Relationship With a 14-Year-Old Student

A now-former Michigan teacher who confessed to having a long-term sexual relationship with a 14-year-old student has been sentenced to prison.

32-year-old Jamee Hiatt was sentenced to three to 20 years behind bars, and must also be monitored for life as a sex offender.

Her sexual relationship with the student began in May of 2014 and ended in January of 2016.

She was then arrested a day before she resigned from her job at the Leslie Middle School.

She was alleged to have offered the boy a cellphone, money, and to be his guardian just so they could continue the relationship.

She also gave the student a gun that was linked to a shooting.

A detective that had testified in court that the disgraced teacher had had sex with the teen “so many times” that he lost track.

She pleaded guilty to one count each of first-degree and third-degree criminal sexual conduct back on November 22, 2016.
