Kentucky High School Principal Took Students’ Phones, Stole Their Nudes, Then Traded Them Online

The principal of LaRue County High School in Kentucky has been fired for taking students’ phones and stealing their nude photos, then trading them online.

36-year-old Stephen Kyle Goodlett was the subject of an investigation started back in September after a 20-year-old woman found out that nudes she’d taken for her boyfriend when she was 15 years old had been uploaded to a porn-trading website in Russia. She went to cops, who asked for the feds’ help.

Investigators found the IP address of the device that the photos were uploaded from, and it matched an account registered by none other than Principal Goodlett.

Authorities found 60 files of child porn on his various devices. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children later identified images of the 20-year-old woman, as well as a naked girl believed to be aged 10-14, in his Dropbox account.

He confessed that he’d transferred nudes from phones he’d taken from students to a thumb drive, and said he would then share them to the Russian website “with the intent of trading for more images.”

The now-former principal told cops that he has an addiction to porn.

He was indicted Wednesday on federal charges of possessing and transporting child pornography.
