It’s been five years since fans had to say goodbye to their favorite characters from The Office, and it’s about time they made a comeback.
Luckily, many of the show’s stars are totally on board with a revival of The Office, and during the 2018 Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour (for her new series Splitting Up Together), Jenna Fischer finally weighed in on whether or not she’d want to bring Pam Halpert back to TV.
“I think that’s for networks to figure out if I were to be asked. I haven’t been approached about it and don’t know anything about it…But I love Pam!” Fischer told reporters at the TCAs via Just Jared when asked if she’d heard about a revival.
Although there has been speculation about The Office coming back, and the cast has been weighing in on the likelihood of them coming back, Fischer hasn’t been asked to reprise her hilarious role. That being said, the actress really does love the idea of going back to The Office.
“I think the idea of an Office revival is a great idea. I would be honored to come back in any way that I am able to,” she later added. “I loved playing that character and as long as Greg Daniels is the person in charge and the visionary behind it, then I would absolutely be up for it. We just have to get Mindy [Kaling], B.J. Novak, Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, Mike Schur to write some episodes. That show was so great because of the talent involved behind the scenes, not just on the screen.”
With Fischer on board, and Mindy Kaling — aka one of the writers and actresses — previously saying she would be interested in being a part of a revival, things are definitely looking up for fans of The Office.
