A cross-country runner finished an NCAA regional race after he was knocked off his feet by a deer at DeSales University in Pennsylvania.
The cross-country runner was in the middle of a race, when a herd of deer came running by, with one of the animals crashing into the college student.
The incident, which was caught on cell phone video, happened during the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Cross-Country Championship at DeSales University.
Justin Deluzio, a senior at Gwynedd Mercy University, was running when several deer came running onto the course.
One of the deer then slammed into Deluzio, sending him to the ground. He was able to get up and finish the race with the help of two of his teammates.
Deluzio’s coach says he is doing OK, he’s just a bit sore and bruised up.
