For the second consecutive year, Jennifer Lawrence has topped the Forbes list of the world’s highest-paid actresses.
According to Forbes, Lawrence captured the top spot earning $46 million between June 1, 2015 and June 1, 2016 before fees and taxes. The Oscar-winner was able to repeat thanks to her cut of profits from the final Hunger Games installment, which went on to gross $653.4 million at the box office, as well as her upfront fee for the forthcoming sci-fi film Passengers, which co-stars Chris Pratt, Michael Sheen, and Laurence Fishburne.
The youngest person to appear on the list, J-Law’s total is down from the $52 million she grossed in 2015, but she earned $13 million more than the actress who finished second on the list, Melissa McCarthy, who took home $33 million.
McCarthy not only earned an estimated eight-figure upfront fee to star in the Ghostbusters remake, but the former Mike & Molly star also designs her own all-sizes clothing line, Seven7.
Capturing the bronze medal is Scarlett Johansson, who earned $25 million. The Captain America: Civil War star reportedly earned $17.5 million for her upcoming role in Ghost in the Shell and also has an endorsement deal with Dolce & Gabbana.
