Doctor Dragged and Beaten off Airplane after Flight was Overbooked

Outraged passengers filmed the moment police officers dragged a man kicking and screaming off a flight from Chicago to Louisville after United Airlines over-booked the plane. The airline’s appeal for volunteers to give up their seats fell on deaf ears. Three police officers can be seen manhandling the man out of his seat and dragged him down the aisle (pictured, left) as other passengers protested (centre). But footage also showed the man apparently back on the plane (right) and muttering: ‘I have to go home’. The company said: ‘After our team looked for volunteers, one customer refused to leave the aircraft voluntarily and law enforcement was asked to come to the gate. We apologize for the overbook situation.’
