Cop Shoots Herself during Pitbull Attack

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A Pasco County Sheriff’s Office deputy is recovering after shooting herself in the finger when forced to defend herself from an attacking pit bull dog.

PSO said that the deputy, who was not identified by name, was attempting to contact the dog’s owner following the mauling of a homeless man when she was attacked.

Video of the dog bite taken from the deputy’s body cam was posted to the Pasco Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
