A woman in Scottsdale, Arizona confessed to shooting her boyfriend in the genitals, among other bodily locales, because she thought he was having an affair.
53-year-old Delia Mary Flores shot her boyfriend seven times total with a .32 revolver, one of which hit his penis, and two of which hit his scrotum.
The unnamed man, luckily, survived his injuries
He told cops that he was sleeping in a chair at about 8:30 p.m. on Saturday when he woke up to what he believed to be fireworks going off…that is, until he felt the “excruciating pain in his lower extremities,” according to court documents.
Ms. Flores then apparently had a moment of clarity and called 911, telling the dispatcher that she knew nothing about how her boyfriend had been shot; only that he’d asked her to call for help.
She met cops outside their home.
Without any prompting whatsoever by officers, she then admitted that she’d shot him over the suspected affair.
The two had been living together since 2016 and had been dating for about two years.
When officers searched the home, they found the .32-caliber revolver under the chair the victim had been sleeping in when he was shot.
They also found a receipt showing Flores had purchased the gun 10 days prior to the shooting.
She’s now being held in the Maricopa County jail on a $750,000 bond on charges of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
