A Delaware mother accused of raping her daughter’s 13-year-old boyfriend was given probation after pleading guilty to the charges back in November.
46-year-old Elaine Goodman was handed just two years of probation, as well as an order to attend sexual disorder counseling and to register as a sex offender.
She’d been arrested and charged with fourth-degree rape after cops had received a report that claimed she’d had sex with a minor.
Her lawyer, James Liguor, told the court that Ms. Goodman was “sorry and putting her behind bars was not the answer,” according to NY Daily News.
According to court documents, the young boy had snuck out of his home in the early morning hours back in mid-March of 2015 in order to meet with Ms. Goodman until 4:30 a.m. They purportedly “engaged in intimate acts” in her car.
The boy says that she kissed and undressed him before they had sex.
Police recovered DNA evidence confirming the victim’s presence in Goodman’s vehicle, on her clothing, and found the cell phone she used to communicate with him.
She even exchanged text messages with a friend, saying the boy “is so cute” and had a “nice ass body,” according to court documents.
